Jeff Martin is a lifelong Missourian, entrepreneur, husband, father, and community leader who has spent more than three decades building businesses, raising a family, and giving back to the community he loves.
Born and raised in Independence, Jeff graduated from Fort Osage High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Park University. In 2005, he founded Martin Underground Construction Inc., a company that has grown from a small start-up into a multi-million-dollar employer that provides critical utility infrastructure across Missouri and Kansas. Under his leadership, the company has become known for hard work, integrity, and supporting the health and safety of the community through reliable underground utility installation.
Beyond business, Jeff has been deeply involved in civic and community life. For over 30 years, he has coached youth sports—including soccer, basketball, baseball, and football—and supported countless local school initiatives. He has sponsored charity golf tournaments, school “Pink Out” events, and local chamber of commerce programs, while also donating to multiple charity auctions. His commitment to community improvement is reflected both in his business and in his personal service.
Jeff and his wife, Kris, have been married for 31 years and have three children—Jeffery, Kirsti, and Halli—and one granddaughter, Emrey. Since 1994, they have proudly called Lee’s Summit their home.
Now, Jeff is running for Missouri State Representative for District 30 to bring the same values of hard work, accountability, and service to Jefferson City. He is committed to strengthening Missouri’s infrastructure, protecting families, and fostering economic growth that supports working people and small businesses.
